What is Chiropractic?  

Chiropactic science works both directly and indirectly with  the spine and nervous system. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord and nerves which allows information to be passed from the brain to different parts of the body.  The nerves transmit all movement and sensation to and from the brain including sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. In fact, the nervous system is the master controller of the body and controls all the above as well as temperature, balance,  circulation, respiration, digestion and reproductive systems.

Every science has an avenue of approach. Medical Doctors avenue is a hypodermic needle or a pill which are either injected into the skin or digested through the stomach. The Chiropractic avenue of approach is the manipulation of the spine. The object of Chiropractic is to determine which levels of the spine are misaligned and affecting the nervous system. This misalignment or "Subluxation" of the spine can cause pain musculoskeletal or organic dysfunction. By balancing the "Subluxation" with gentle chiropractic manipulation the dysfunction can be repaired so balance and function will be restored to the affected area.
