What is Chiropractic?  

Today's Chiropactor works both directly and indirectly with the nervous system. Nerves transmit all movement and sensation to and from the brain including sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. In fact, the nervous system is the master controller of the body and controls temperature, balance,  circulation, respiration, digestion and reproductive systems.

Each science has an avenue of approach. The medical field uses a hypodermic needle to inject medicine into the body or a pill is swallowed to digest through the stomach. The avenue of Chiropractic is the spine. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord which allows information to be passed from the brain to different parts of the body. The object of Chiropractic is to determine which levels of the spine are misaligned and affecting the nervous system. This misalignment or "Subluxation" of the spine  can cause pain or musculoskeletal, organic dysfunction. Therfore, by balancing the spine with gentle chiropractic manipulation the dysfunction can be repaired and function may be restored to the affected area.
